The Company Car

The Company Car

We call them “company cars,” but in reality they’re a lot more than that. Life happens, and that company car suddenly becomes the “get-the-kids-to-soccer-practice-mobile” or the “running-to-the-store-for-bread-and-milk car.” But what happens when a company car has an accident while on personal business?

ERIE business products are developed with a complete view of your life. That’s why our products are best in class. With an ERIE business auto policy, you’re covered even if the business vehicle was being used for personal matters at the time of the accident.

In fact, you’re covered if you have an accident while dropping your son off at football practice or stopping at the convenience store for a gallon of milk on your way home from work.

So make the most of your commercial vehicles, whether it’s for making deliveries from your business, or running errands.

Is Your Insurance Company Punishing You?

Is Your Insurance Company Punishing You?

As a driver, you try to do everything right. You check your mirrors when you get in the car, always use your turn signal and never text behind the wheel. But even the best drivers get into accidents sometimes—one little mistake is all it takes.

Most insurance companies think that because you make one little mistake, have one little accident, you should have to pay more in insurance premiums. At Erie Insurance, we don’t think your one slip-up should cost you more money. We’re all human, right?

When you buy insurance through ERIE, you have the choice of choosing a rate lock policy. Think of it as your “we’re only human” policy. When you have ERIE Rate LockSM, your rates won’t increase—no matter how many accidents you might have. The only time your rate changes is when your life changes: when your address changes, your vehicle changes or you add or remove a driver from your policy.

It’s that simple. We think your auto insurance should protect you, not punish you. Give us a call today to see whether you qualify and let’s find out if rate lock makes sense for your life. No tricks, no gimmicks, just seriously good insurance.

ERIE Rate Lock does not guarantee continued insurance coverage. Insured must meet applicable underwriting guidelines. Premium may change if you make a policy change.

Secure, No Matter What

Secure, No Matter What

Home. The word itself is solid, warm and comforting. But what if all that were swept away in a single moment? Could you rebuild, start again, make it what it was before?

Many Americans’ homeowners insurance doesn’t cover the full cost of replacing their home in case of total destruction. In fact, most Americans are underinsured by 38 percent (source: Marshall & Swift/Boeckh). That means that if your home cost $200,000, to rebuild, you could be out of pocket up to $76,000.

Things get even trickier when you take into account the rapidly rising cost of labor and building materials. Maybe it cost $200,000 to build your home 10 years ago, but today it could cost significantly more.

But when you purchase ErieSecure HomeSM, you don’t have to worry about any of that. With this special homeowner’s coverage, you’ll be able to replace your home 100 percent--guaranteed.

Is your home covered 100 percent? If you’re not sure, it’s time to find out. Call us at J.M. Insurance Agency today, and let’s talk about your family’s needs, and how we can make your home secure, no matter what happens.

About our Lineman of the Week Award

Our agency started this recognition in the Fall of 2013 Football season.  It is a reward that is chosen out of all Wilson County High Schools which consists of the following:  Friendship Christian School, Lebanon High School, McClain Christian Academy, Mount Juliet High School, Watertown High School, and Wilson Central High School.  The award will be announced first in the Wednesday's Wilson Post.  We will also share here on our website as well as our social media outlets.  Each player will get a performance t-shirt each week.

We wanted to recognize the young men that are in the trenches protecting their team’s valuable assets.  As you know in football, the linemen do not get much attention unless it’s for a holding penalty or for jumping off sides.  We are proud to be able to give some recognition to these young men.  We pick a lineman each week in the 11 Week season.  At the end of the year, we will pick a Lineman of the Year out of our 11 weekly honorees.    The chosen Lineman of the Year will get a trophy and a $500 donation to their team in their honor.

Importance of a Personal Umbrella Insurance Policy

Good Afternoon -

With Independence Day being tomorrow and Myself being an Insurance Agent,  I couldn't help to think about the risks that go along with the holidays.  Sad I know!  It just must be part of my profession; I catch myself driving down the road noticing how close Fire Hydrants are to homes, and how good of shape the roofs are on homes. Now that's sad! :)
